When cleaning your teeth while wearing braces, you need to pay special attention not only to your teeth and gums but also to the brackets and wires.
A soft toothbrush will be gentlest for any pain or discomfort you have from the braces treatment. You should spend about 10 seconds brushing each toot. Press your toothbrush firmly enough to clean into the gaps and between the wires and the teeth.
What you eat and drink during your braces treatment can be just as important for good dental hygiene. A brace friendly diet does not have to be boring.
