To the Norwest Ortho family,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the regulatory bodies have mandated all orthodontic practices nationwide to temporarily shutdown.
Norwest Orthodontics’ focus is and has always been on our patients’ wellbeing. We care deeply about each of you.
Currently we are working on digital solutions to provide care and advice to patients during the pandemic. We are in the process of assessing each of your treatment statuses, and where appropriate and indicated, you will be scheduled for a “virtual appointment”. We anticipate the first cohort of appointments will be scheduled within the next few weeks. This has entailed our team working 24 hours a day to ensure we have this actioned quickly and I am humbled by their herculean effort.
At this stage, if you have had your appointment cancelled due to COVID-19, you will receive an SMS with a weblink within the next two weeks with details of how to access virtual care.
If your routine future appointment has not been cancelled, you will receive an SMS with a weblink some time before your scheduled routine future appointment with details of how to access virtual care.
After considering the above, if you think you should have received an SMS with a weblink but did not do so, please email [email protected] to advise us. Please include the patient’s name, date of birth, your name and relationship to the patient in the email. We can only communicate with a parent or guardian regarding a minor’s treatment.
In addition to expressing my gratitude to the Norwest Ortho team for their commitment and care under such difficult circumstances, I would also like to thank each of you for your patience and understanding at this time.
As I have said before, our history as a nation, from the first Australians to the newest, is defined by our resilience in times of adversity. Intrinsic to our culture and identity is “mateship” and in this regard please stay safe, look after each other and my prayers and thoughts are with you all.
