Our practice
Located in Bella Vista, Norwest Orthodontics is a state-of-the-art facility, which we have designed to feel comfortable for adults and children alike.
Our plush waiting area features internet stations, iPads, a wide-screen TV, beverage station, two video game booths and a large coral reef aquarium. We provide all these items to make visits to the orthodontist enjoyable, in the knowledge the initial days of treatment can elicit nerves.
And that’s just the entrance to our friendly service, with plenty more on offer behind each treatment room door.

Rather than an open-plan treatment room, we have individual rooms to offer privacy and provide the pinnacle of care.
Overhead televisions ensure time spent in the chair is relaxed, and even entertaining.
Meanwhile, this patient care is backed by the very latest available technology and an array of treatment options. Our diagnostic tools allow us to quickly and accurately ascertain what areas need attention, and 3D digital modelling enables us to simulate and plan treatments that are customised to each patient.

Together, our team has a wealth of orthodontic experience that extends from remote, rural work through to busy metropolitan facilities, and all members have been carefully selected for their professionalism and proven dedication to client care.
This team is led by Dr Shimanto Purkayastha – the only Australian Orthodontic Board-Certified specialist orthodontist in the Norwest area.
Dr Shimanto Purkayastha is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He also hosts lecture and education events for local doctors and dentists to share the latest advancements and techniques in orthodontics.
A treatment schedule to suit you
Life is busy, and we understand your tight schedule might mean seeing the orthodontist needs to offer minimal disruption to work and school.
That’s why we schedule appointments well in advance, and also offer extended hours during the week along with occasionally opening on Saturdays.
